Threat Map — Active Alerts by Country

The map is a world view, drawn for every country the tracker monitors. Each is colour-coded by its highest active urgency: IMMEDIATE (red), MONITOR (amber), BACKGROUND (green), or nothing active (grey). Alerts for any of the 197 countries and zones monitored are on the live brief, and each has its own page.

Coverage

The map follows the same list the tracker monitors: 197 countries and zones. Smaller countries that are hard to click on a world map, such as Bahrain, Kuwait, and Qatar, carry dedicated markers. How many monitored countries are producing alerts, and which have no feed from their own government, is published on the coverage page.

Urgency Levels

  • IMMEDIATE — Active, high-impact events requiring immediate awareness or action.
  • MONITOR — Developing situations warranting continued monitoring.
  • BACKGROUND — Standing information with no immediate action required.
