Privacy Policy

How the Official Global Alerts Tracker handles personal data.

1. Who we are

This policy explains what personal data the Sicuro Group — Official Global Alerts Tracker collects, why, and who processes it. The service is operated by Sicuro Group LLC of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, which is the controller of that data. Write to risk@sicurogroup.com with any question about it.

2. What we collect

Account details: your email address and a password. That is all we ask for. Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes, never in plain text. A display name is derived from your address; we do not ask for your name or your organisation.

Paid Sicuro products: there is no checkout on this service and no card form, so we never see or store your card number. If you enquire about paid access we hold the enquiry you send us and the billing details on the invoice we issue, which are business details rather than personal ones in most cases.

Preferences: digest subscriptions, watchlists, saved filters, and the countries you select for monitoring.

Usage analytics: collected only if you accept analytics in the consent banner. See section 5.

Server logs: standard technical logs such as IP address, user agent, and timestamps, kept for security and debugging.

3. What we use it for

To provide and secure the service: authentication, workspace membership, country selection, and abuse prevention such as rate limiting.

To send service email: registration confirmation, password resets, notices about these terms, and the digests you opted into.

To answer an enquiry about a paid Sicuro product and to issue and collect the invoice for it.

We do not sell your details, and we do not share them for third-party marketing.

4. Email

The daily digests are opt-in, controlled by their own checkboxes at registration, and every digest includes an unsubscribe link. Service messages such as password resets and billing notices are sent as needed to operate your account.

5. Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to understand how the tracker is used. Neither loads until you choose Accept in the consent banner, and declining is a single click. No analytics cookies are set before that choice. You can change your choice at any time on this page.

The application also uses browser local storage for sign-in state (your session token and last-activity timestamp), your consent choice, and interface preferences. These are functional, not tracking.

6. Processors and subprocessors

Replit — application hosting.

A managed PostgreSQL database provisioned through our hosting platform — storage of account and preference data.

Mailchimp Transactional (Mandrill) — delivery of service and digest email.

OpenRouter, routing to Anthropic — translation of non-English source content into English, and classification of incoming source content. What is processed is the public content of monitored sources, not your account data.

Perplexity — automated discovery of publicly reported developments, and re-verification of government travel advisory levels. Public content only; no account data is sent.

Google — analytics, only after you consent.

7. Retention

Account data is kept while your account is open, and after it closes only for as long as we need it to meet a legal, tax, or record-keeping obligation. Your record of which version of the terms you accepted is kept for as long as it may be needed as evidence of that acceptance.

Operational alert data is pruned on rolling windows measured in days to weeks. Server logs are kept short term for security and debugging.

8. Your rights and choices

Email risk@sicurogroup.com to access, export, correct, or delete your account data. We act on verified requests without undue delay. Self-service export and deletion are on the product roadmap; until they ship, email is the route.

Where the law that applies to you gives you further rights over your personal data, we honour them on a verified request.

9. International transfers

The service is operated from the United Arab Emirates and the processors listed above operate in several countries, so your account data may be handled outside the country you are in. We use processors that commit to protecting the data they handle for us and to processing it only on our instructions.

10. Changes and contact

We will post changes to this policy here and give notice of material changes by email or in the app.
